First Birthday's are fun!

Axel had a great first birthday party with cake, toys and of course fun in the sun! We BBQd in the backyard with family and friends. He had a blast opening presents and playing in the yard with his new wagon! Aunt Mindy, Sierra and Cameron even made him his own table and chairs for playing in his playroom.

Camping in the rain

Well more camping has been the story of June. We have been out many times and Axel loves the dirt, lakes, bugs and all of the camping essentials. He also learned how to eat breakfast in the rain. Thanks to grandma, he was enjoying a fancy umbrella covered toast and eggs...

Camping

So far we have been on 2 camping trips... just overnight, but still a great time in the new RV. Axel has seemed to love it, but the mosqitoes love HIM even more. Poor kid is coverd in bites on his forehead. That forehead will be legendary for the boo boos in the coming years... I just have a feeling.

Visiting Seattle

We headed out on our first road trip with Axel this weekend. Whew.... we are tired! It was a great trip with a stay in Bellevue Friday night, the day in Seattle on Saturday and a night with Great Grandma Fello Saturday night. Axel loved to hang out in town and see all of the sights. He even got to ride the carosel on a big boy horse!

Growing Horns

Well, Axel is growing like a weed.. and like the devil. Yes, he is growing horns.
kidding. He decided that scraping his head on the playpen at naptime at Aunt Mindy's was a super good idea. Not so good for his looks. They say we will laugh about this in the years to come. Right now I am just trying not to have too many people stop me at the grocery store to ask what happened.

Sleeping for the Cure

Axel went on his first "race" today. The Susan B. Coman Race for the Cure! He slept through most of it as he was recovering from a bug, but he is sure enjoying that free T-shirt! (I do not know why the photo is upside down....)
