Giggles

Monday left me to head back to work, and Matt with a few errands to run... so Axel was pleased to spend some time with Aunt Mary, Aunt Kim and Grandma Carolyn. What a grand time he had!

Another Nellenbach Family Visit

Matt's Mom Carolyn and older sister Kim came to visit this last weekend. We had a fun filled weekend and my, did Axel LOVE his Grandma Carolyn! He was full of smiles for her from first sight.

Mom made everyone a tasty dinner on Saturday night.

A trip to CDA ended in the Nellenbach clan horsing around on a big moose!

Axel thought Grandma Carolyn was a hoot!

A trip to the corn maze to help keep everyone in shape!

I guess I was the only one who did not get the memo to wear red....

Dead plants and bad days

Why after a bad day at work does everything go wrong... After a long day in an absurd office Axel and I came home to see Matt out the door. We were then informed that the freeze had been unplugged and everything had thawed. Well, of course we called Mom and she came to the rescue (thank goodness). I cleaned out (i.e. trashed) all of the Halibut, Salmon and Elk we had in the freezer and swore a bit to feel better. Soon after I happened to notice that my big plant I had in the sun room (that matt is tearing apart right now) was gone.... I looked and looked and even left Matt a message about a "invisiblity cape" he may have put over the plant. Yet again Mom to the resuce. She found it in the backyard... frozen.... and most likely dead. I am trying to bring it back, but I fear the worst.

Useful Hats

Even though I think hats are super funny on babies, we went in search of a good winter hat to "keep the heat in" as I have been told. For my mobile child I went looking for a hat that had a strap that would fit his little head. I guess that most hat makers think babies under 12 months do not move much as all I could find were the "skull cap" hats... until I found this one. An even more absurd hat for a 3 month old, but when it is your only choice....

A visit from some uncles

This last weekend we had some out-of-town guests! Uncle Tim and Uncle Rod came over for a visit to play golf with Aunt Mary and Dad. They spent Saturday golfing in Spokane and Sunday golfing in Chewelah. It was great to see them and everyone had a grand time. We even got Rod out to the Wolf lodge (finally) for a steak dinner!!

The Jumparoo

The Jumparoo seems to be the "thing-to-have" for babies these days. I just recieved one from a friend and have another on the way for my sisters house. Axel got his first taste of the Jump-a-roo this weekend and seemed pretty interested....
